Current Classes at the Abergavenny Baker School

Baking is an integral part of many cultures. Taking a bakery class focused on a specific cuisine can be a way to explore and appreciate the culinary traditions of different regions. Baking is not just about following recipes; it’s also about creativity. You can learn to experiment with flavours, textures, and presentations to create your unique baked goods.

I really enjoyed the French baking course last week. Rachael puts everyone at ease and explains everything so well. The proof of the pudding is always when you bake the same items yourself without support and I was delighted with the Second breakfast Granary loaf and baguettes which came out of the oven this morning. I would recommend the course to novices and those who have done a bit of baking as Rachael has many tips which make all the difference. I had been looking at bread-baking books previously, but having done the course, I feel much more informed (as regards the science of baking) and confident to tackle new recipes on my own.
