Everyone is welcome in any of the classes! Whether you’ve never baked bread in your life, you have a vague memory of baking at school or you’re pretty good at baking bread but want to master specific skills or recipes, possibly with a view to selling your bread. With only 6 – 8 bakers in each class there’s plenty of opportunity for discussion and personal hands-on tuition.
Easter Weekend Breads include:
This class is dedicated to celebration breads from around the world. If you’ve never baked Hot Cross Buns – this is the class for you! Soft and warm and spicy, perfect for toasting “The best hot cross bun I’ve ever tasted” proclaimed Gill’s husband when she took them home last year. Flamiche for lunch and a really beautiful decorated Ukrainian Easter Bread flavoured with lemon, orange and vanilla.
9.30am Coffee and a chat about your baking experience and what you’d like out of the day
12 ish Second breakfast to keep you going
2.30pm Lunch in the dining room with a glass of wine and the first taste of your own bread
4.30pm Aim to finish. Times vary depending on experience, conversation and the weather!
What to bring: Just yourself, your questions and a smile. All equipment, aprons, ingredients, recipes, refreshments and lunch are included.
