Friday 5th February 2021
9.30 am – 4.30 pm
£130
Class size: up to 6 (or 8 if lock down relaxes)
Everyone is welcome in any of the classes! Whether you’ve never baked bread in your life, you have a vague memory of baking at school or you’re pretty good at baking bread but want to master specific skills or recipes, possibly with a view to selling your bread. With only 7 or 8 bakers in each class there’s plenty of opportunity for discussion and personal hands-on tuition.
Nordic Breads :
The final breads are yet to be decided (I haven’t tried baking Semlor yet) but we’ll choose from sockerkringlor (sweet sugar pretzels), vaniljbullar (vanilla sunshine buns), rabarb bullar (rhubard and custard buns) and the traditional kannelbullar (cinnamon buns). Maybe a rye loaf and / or some little rye buns
Programme:
9.30am Coffee and a chat about your baking experience and what you’d like out of the day
12 ish “Second breakfast” to keep you going…
2.30pm Lunch in the sun room with a glass of wine and the first taste of your own bread
4.30pm Aim to finish. Times vary depending on experience, conversation and the weather!
What to bring: Just yourself, your questions and a smile. All equipment, aprons, ingredients, recipes, refreshments and lunch are included.
